He holds an MBA from Yale University, where he earned distinction, and a Ph.D. from Korea Advanced Institute of Science & Technology, where he graduated first in his department. Over 17 years, he has built his career on deep tech management at Intel (Silicon Valley, CA), Corning (Corning, NY), and LG-EDS (Seoul, Korea). He contributed to microprocessor marketing, business planning, and product roadmap at Intel. He built and managed innovation pipeline for one of Corning’s largest R&D investments, leading commercialization of Corning’s science & technology with many industry-leading firms like Apple, Tesla, Velux, Cardinal, Illumina, TSMC, Coca-Cola, Facebook, and Cisco. He holds over 35 patents on science-based products and published in both top management and technology journals like Technovation and Applied Physics Letters. He maintains his interests with deep tech entrepreneurship, frontend innovation, transdisciplinary education, use-inspired research, and general-purpose technologies. He is a sports enthusiast, enjoying running, swimming, and kayaking. He is a nature lover, explored over 30 national parks worldwide, and aspires to visit all 63 national parks in the U.S.
